Tom Henderson, tweeted that the development team has a plan to remove Verdansk from Warzone, the leaker claims that the map “will never return.” Henderson suggests that the Warzone map will be changed as the narrative continues to progress.
“The current plan for Warzone is that Verdansk will never return. There’s no separate playlist, map voting, or anything like that. Warzone is Warzone and Warzone is 1 map. When I heard this, I immediately thought that a time machine or portal could be added to the story to have us return to Verdansk in a year or two… But this is just my speculation. More on this at a later date”, said Henderson on Twitter.
Verdanks has been infested with explosive Zombies, fans have been speculating about a nuke dropping into the map completely obliterating the zone and all the threats. The Verdansk map was the game’s map since it launched in April 2020.
Meanwhile, industry insider Modern Warzone shared on Twitter footage showing the explosive Zombies randomly appearing in Verdansk.
Warzone will seemingly remain crucial for Activision, this was suggested by Denis Durkin, Chief Financial Officer at Activision in a recent financial report where he stated that the publisher “will benefit from a full year of Warzone driving upgrades to our premium content and incremental in-game player investment.”
Call of Duty: Warzone takes place in Verdansk, an expansive city with multiple zones and well over 300 points of interest. Each zone features distinct landmarks like the Gorengard Lumber Yard or the Gora Dam; the zones take place across different environment types like cities and rural areas for unique engagements.
