It was announced by Indie game developer VIS-Games, the official continuation to their popular Pineview Drive First-Person psychological thriller, Rising Storm. Currently a project on KickStarter, your task as protagonist Lisa is to revisit the creepy mansion and surrounding area to relive your childhood nightmares in an attempt to cure the trauma caused to you in the past.
Check out the official teaser trailer of Pineview Drive: Rising Storm, featuring the locations that appear in the game:
“Pineview Drive: Rising Storm is a first-person horror game going beyond the typical story about a haunted house. Dealing with the mechanisms of repression and trauma, the game puts emphasis on players own interpretation of events. You play Lisa, a young woman in her early 20s whose parents died in a car-wreck when you were just a child. You were with your parents when it happened. You survived. Your only memories are of burnt facades, waves of the ocean, a lighthouse and a distant village. You must travel to the old mansion on Pineview Drive and spend 30 days and nights discovering the truth as you dive deeper into the story.
Pineview Drive: Rising Storm challenges you to search for hints and solve puzzles. You cannot protect yourself from evil in the game. You can only avoid it. However, watch out, as your fear is tracked and monitored, and you lose health if you get scared! Investigate the old lighthouse, Pineview Forest and step down into the basement for the very first time. Reacquaint yourself with ghosts from the first installment of the game and experience new ghosts sending chills down your spine … With its huge open game-world and many locations to visit, you must face the darkness and adversities of nature. What terrible truths from the bottom of the sea will the coming storm bring to the surface?”
