If you yerned for your youth and wanted to take a trip back to simpler times when you had no responsibilities, Vroom! which is being developed by Adam Bernath, looks to portal you there. The game involves toy cars driving around a messy room and competing for glory both solo and as a team.
While the trailer made it hard to glean what EXACTLY is the goal it is a Battle Royale game in which 60 or so players compete. The goal at first seems to be to race around a messy room avoiding obstacles as best as you can, but soon blocks and balls start flying around as players create paths and block opponents.
As you compete in the game you will eventually unlock more toy cars, each looking cheaply made to capture the feel of old-school toy car racing. It is unclear if the type of car will have major effects on how you race or maneuver, but there does look to be variety.
Later on in the trailer, it showcases that most environments, especially block buildings, are destructible to create new paths. Bombs and items will also appear in the game in some compacity to make destroying your room even easier.
Currently Vroom! is slated for 2022 for release. As it appears in most of its listings Adam Bernath might be the sole developer on the project or at least have a very small team behind him. It will be released on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
