Warcraft Movie Trailer Now Available to Watch

So if a new expansion pack for the popular MMORPG game World of Warcraft is not enough, then Blizzard has you covered with the trailer of the new Warcraft movie just released at Blizzcon 2015.

The movie will serve as a prequel to the Warcraft games previously released. The story will be based on the initial encounters between humans and orcs with an emphasis on conflict between the two races as the orcs are fleeing their dying world of Draenor to invade Azeroth which is currently inhabited by the humans.

The film was first announced in 2006 as a project with the collaboration of Blizzard and Legendary films.

Here is the newly-released trailer for the movie:

The film is being directed by Duncan Johnes and written by Chris Metzen. It stars stars Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbell, Ben Schnetzer, Robert Kazinsky, Daniel Wu, Ruth Negga, Anna Galvin and Clancy Brown.

It will be interesting to see how this film fares out and if it will remain true to the story that the Warcraft games are based on. Most films based on games usually try to differentiate from their video game counterparts by altering the main story that such games were originally based on.

The film is set for release on June 10 2016, being pushed back from it’s original March 2016 release date.
