Warframe Announced for the Switch at Tennocon 2018
The hit cooperative, sci-fi action game, Warframe, has just been announced to release on the Nintendo Switch, publisher and developer Digital Extremes confirmed today at its third annual Warframe convention Tennocon 2018.
Warframe’s release date on the Switch has not been specified but what we know so far is that Panic Button is the studio responsible for making the port as they have already done with Rocket League and Doom to the Switch.
Check the TennoCon 2018 reveal trailer down below:
“They were called Tenno. Warriors of blade and gun: masters of the Warframe armor. Those that survived the old war were left drifting among the ruins. Now they are needed once more.
The Grineer, with their vast armies, are spreading throughout the solar system. A call echoes across the stars summoning the Tenno to an ancient place. They summon you.
Allow the Lotus to guide you. She has rescued you from your cryostasis chamber and given you a chance to survive. The Grineer will find you; you must be prepared. The Lotus will teach you the ways of the Warframes and the secrets to unlocking their powers.
In Warframe, players control the members of the Tenno, a race of ancient warriors who have awoken from centuries of cryosleep to find themselves at war with the Grineer, a matriarchal race of militarized and deteriorated human clones built upon metal, blood, and war; the Corpus, a mega-corporation with advanced robotics and laser technology built upon profit; the Infested, disfigured victims of the Technocyte virus, a reference to Dark Sector; and later the Sentients, an alien force of mechanical beings returning from the Tau system after being driven back centuries ago. To fight back, the Tenno use remotely controlled biomechanical suits to channel their unique abilities – the eponymous Warframes.”
