Watch Dogs 2 ‘Welcome to San Francisco’ Gameplay Trailer
Ubisoft’s new gameplay trailer for Watch Dogs 2 sets its focus on the Bay Area and its wide variety of distinct cultures.
Lead character Marcus Halloway narrates as the scene shifts across the San Francisco Bay, through the city, and over Oakland, Marin, and Silicon Valley. He describes the often uneasy coexistence of the free-spirited counter culture and wealthy elites within the Bay Area, as characters experiment with VR and play guitar in the colorful plazas.
Not only have the developers taken the liberty of making a faithful recreation of San Francisco, but there’s more choice for the player as to how Marcus Holloway approaches that. You’re free to ignore the earliest missions in the game entirely, to simply explore the world at your leisure. The activities in turn have more of a chance to stand on their own merits this way, instead of just serving as a reason to travel to the locations.
Watch Dogs 2 comes out November 15 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and November 29 for PC.

“The player can hack anything from cameras to cranes as they accomplish missions in their own way. It seems that there some options are stealthier than others however, as the gameplay trailer also allowed us to get a glimpse at Watch Dogs 2‘s combat mechanics, both in close quarters and in gunfights.
The game will continue to feature an open world where anything and everything is hackable – even people. In a future taken over by a Big Brother-esque network named ctOS 2.0, Marcus Halloway, a man unjustly accused of a crime he didn’t commit, joins a group of hackers in their fight against the man.”
