The latest installment in the Watch Dogs franchise, entitled Watch Dogs Legion, has received a lot fixes, updates, and content drops today. Developers took to the internet to share a long laundry list of what fans of the game will be getting once they install update 4.5.
For starters, a new tactical op entitled Project Omni was included in the drop. It can be played with up to 3 friends and will involve DeadSec attempting to stop a mad scientist. The mad scientist is attempting to upload people’s consciousness into a network he controls and therefore must be stopped.
Season 2 of the online mode is also available starting today. It will receive a new rewards track with 80 levels of progression for players to earn. While there are more cosmetics available during this season, each influence reward will be smaller this time around.
Players on the newest generation of consoles also have some Quality of Life upgrades. A 60 FPS mode will now be available as an option in the game. They also announced that cross-family will now be supported. This will allow PS4 and PS5 players to play together, as well as Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S to play together. While cross-play between consoles has been tossed around it looks like we have to wait for that feature.
If you are a PC player then you will have access to Legion of The Dead which is currently in alpha. This mode allows you to play with friends to survive a zombie-infested London. Given the trends of the gaming industry today, it was only a matter of time till the undead shuffled in. This feature will be coming to consoles as well though there is no date on when to expect that.
Going through every fix that is brought with the patch would take us all day. You can check on the full patch notes here.
