Players who watch Call of Duty: Modern Warfare streams from designated streamers on Veterans Day (and ONLY on Veterans Day) will have the opportunity to receive in-game loot.
The designated streamers include DrDisrespect, summit1g, dakotaz, Myth, TSM_Daequan, TSM_Hamlinz, TSM_Viss, RealKraftyy, chocoTaco, Diegosaurs, Beaulo, and KittyPlays.
Viewers who watch a stream for an hour will receive a 30-minute 2XP token while those who view for two hours will receive both the 30-minute token and the “Ode to the Brave” animated Calling Card.
In addition to watching the streams, fans must register for a Call of Duty account. Having a CoD account allows players to play Modern Warfare across different platforms (cross-play) and gives them access to receiving “all the latest intel and personalized stats.”
Viewers will also need to connect their Call of Duty account to their Twitch account (or re-link it if they already have a Twitch account).
Once viewers have a CoD account linked to their Twitch account, they can begin watching one of the designated streamers mentioned above. Fans will know they’re watching an eligible stream when they see a callout that “drops are enabled.” Once they click the stream, their watch time will be tracked and they can begin earning rewards.
After watching for an hour or two, players will find their rewards waiting in their inventory the next time they play Modern Warfare.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a reboot of 2007’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The reboot released on October 25, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One and was developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision.
