Winners of The Game Awards 2017

The most anticipated ceremony of this year, The Game Awards 2017, was held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Finally, the date has come to know the best games of the year. Do you want to know which games will be the most awarded?

We remind you that these games are voted by the public through their website and that they are presented by Geoff Keighley, the head of the event for some years.

  • ¡The first prize of the night is delivered! The award for best soundtrack is for NieR: Automata.
  • The second prize of the night is  for … What remains of Edith Finch! The work of Giant Sparrow takes the prize for best narrative.
  • The prize for best action game is for Wolfenstein II.
  • Guillermo del Toro and Hideo Kojima take the stage! and announces that the award for best art direction is for Cuphead.
  • The award to this year’s icon of the industry is for Carol Shaw, one of the first video game designers that has been known for the game River Raid for Atari 2600.

  • ¡We continue with the prizes! The prize for best indie game is for Cuphead. Making this their second prize of the event.
  • The awards for best game as service and best eSports game are for the award-winning best game last year: Overwatch!
  • The prize for the best game made by students is for Level Squared.
  • Andrew House reveals that the games for impact prize is for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice.
  • Andy Serkis takes the stage to deliver the award for best performance, which is for Melina Juergens for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Double prize also for Ninja Theory!
  • Zelda: Breath of the Wild receives its first prize of the night for best game direction.
  • We arrive at the end of the event with the award of best game of the year. After a great interpretation of each one of the sound tracks of the nominated games, Geoff Keighley gives the prize to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Hidemaro Fujibayashi and Eiji Aonuma receive the award.
