Operation systems are what we deal with every time that we use an electronic device. From smartphones to consoles, all have got their own operation systems. A key factor for each OS is to be as user-friendly as possible in order to deliver the smoothest experience to users. When it comes to consoles, a user-friendly OS should allow you to have access to the different parts and features in a simple way, while being smooth enough when you’re playing games or downloading data. Besides, it should also look beautiful. Now, while we’re almost on the edge of next-gen consoles, Microsoft is about to make some changes to Home page for Xbox One.

Home page for Xbox One now has got a new design and it’s going to be available for all Xbox Insiders this week. Microsoft is attempting to improve your user experience with the new Home. According to the first screenshot from the new design, the tabs above the home that used to navigate you to Mixer, Xbox Community, Xbox Game Pass and Microsoft Store are gone. To be more accurate, they are replaced by their own buttons right below the last game you’ve played.
Furthermore, the development team has provided more room on Home to put both previously played games and the Discover tab in one column, on the right side of navigating buttons and recently played game. However, the design above might be changed based on the feedback that the team is going to receive from insiders.
Aside from Home, voice commands on Xbox One is also hosting some changes. Most importantly, “you can no longer talk to Cortana via your headset.” The feature will only be accessible through Xbox Skill via Cortana app on iOS, Android and Windows or via Harmon Kardon Invoke speaker or Alexa-enabled devices. You will be able to power your Xbox One, launch games, capture screenshots, adjust volume and do other things. This update will be rolling out fully in Fall 2019.
