During today’s Inside Xbox event, Microsoft officially announced their dive into an all-digital world with the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition. With all of the rumors surrounding the latest Xbox console, it finally seems most of those rumors were true.
Check out the reveal video below:
The All-Digital Edition will release with three pre-loaded games – Forza Horizon 3, Sea of Thieves and Minecraft. The console is the exact same as the original Xbox One S model, only now without the disc drive. For those players looking to discard their cluttered physical game collection, the All-Digital Edition is a perfect way to do so. Along with removing the disc drive, the All-Digital One S comes packed with a 1TB hard drive.
Players may also hop into a new Game Pass subscription which offers over 100 games to select from in the digital library, currently at a low cost of $1 for the next 3 months. And for those who have yet to join in the Xbox Live program on top of Game Pass, Microsoft has also announced the newest subscription – Xbox Game Pass Ultimate – which combines both programs at a low cost of $15/month.
For players looking to jump into the digital age, Microsoft is now taking pre-orders for the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition and can expect to get their hands on the new console when it releases on May 7, 2019 at a moderately lower price of $249.99.
