Xbox Series S Specs Potentially Leaked – Rumor

TweakTown and The Verge’s Tom Warren are reportedly confident to reveal the technical specifications of the Xbox Series S. Xbox Series S will be capable of running next-gen games on 1440P, using checkerboard rendering, the console will be able to upscale the games on 4k resolution.

Disclaimer – This information has not been verified, therefore this is not factual.

As expected, the Series S is expected to retain the Series X’s AMD’s Zen 2 processor and the GDDR6RAM, the main difference lies in the GPU. Designed to be able to handle 1440p next-gen games, the Navi RDNA 2.0 GPU is said to deliver 4 TFLOPs.

Is uncertain when will Xbox announce their entry-level console, Microsoft is discontinuing the Xbox One X and Xbox One S All-Digital Edition consoles ahead of the launch of its next-gen console. The Xbox One S will still be manufactured and shipped around the world, something that may suggest that Series S might not launch along with the Series X.

As we ramp into the future with Xbox Series X, we’re taking the natural step of stopping production on Xbox One X and Xbox One S All-Digital Edition. Said a Microsoft’s spokesperson to The Verge. “Xbox One S will continue to be manufactured and sold globally.”

Series S is one of the worst kept secrets in the industry, a few weeks ago the packaging of the Xbox Series X controller confirmed the existence of the Series S. Microsoft’s June 2020 Games Development Kit also confirmed the Series S. Hesitation to officially announce Series S might also point at a 2021 launch date.

Now that the console has been unofficially confirmed, and the alleged hardware specifications had been leaked, the debate is open, Series S, is it necessary? Will the console arrive at a price so cheap that will allow Microsoft to win the console war? Check our analysis on this video down below:
