According to the information leaked by a Redditor, Xbox Series S features only 364 GB of usable storage for apps and games. The Redditor claims that he received a review unit from Xbox.

To give some context to the leak, some AAA games like Call of Duty: Warzone, would take half of the available storage. The upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War which will take over 285 GBs of storage when installed on PlayStation 5.
Is important to considerate that players would definitely want over three games installed on their gaming system, to do so, an expansion card will be a must for Series S owners, the problem is that Xbox features a proprietary port on both Series S and Series X, the expansion card is only available on a 1 Tb model and will cost 219 USD, making the design of the Series S questionable. However, Xbox affirms that Xbox Series S games will be optimized for 1440p gameplay, next-gen games will take 30% less storage when compared to the same game on Series X.
The Seagate Storage expansion card for Xbox Series X|S delivers the same peak speed and performance as the console’s internal SSD. This means that Xbox Velocity Architecture is only featured on Seagate’s card. Players can use a traditional SSD or HDD via the USB 3.2 port but due to the slower speeds, it will only support Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One games.
Xbox Series S‘s limitations are also evident on the significantly slower RAM and GPU, the 8GB GDDR6 224GB/s RAM is one of the compromises made by Xbox’s designers to create a product that is capable of running next-gen games at a bargain price.
