Xbox Showcase Event Leaked on Twitter

Microsoft’s Xbox Virtual Press Briefing was leaked by Twitter user Walking Cat, the same user that leaked Xbox Series S, launch date, and price of the next-gen Xbox.

Xbox Virtual Press Briefing was an event meant to showcase Xbox Series S and announce the now confirmed All Access expansion to 12 countries, and the addition of EA Play for Xbox Game Pass. The pre-recorded show is hosted by Xbox’s Senior Director of Marketing, Cindy Walker as she discusses with Phil Spencer and other key members of the Xbox team the design of Series S and why an Xbox console is the best option ahead of next-gen gaming.

The leaker broke down the Xbox Virtual Press Briefing into four videos, most of the information has been already confirmed by Xbox, however, a recent tweet by Phil Spencer suggests that it was the company’s intention to air the show next week.

Xbox Virtual Press Briefing reveals that Xbox Series S was designed by Xbox in collaboration with AMD, the custom SoC is based on Series X’s architecture, this means that the smallest next-gen console features Zen 2 and RDNA 2 technologies. It’s also confirmed that Series S will feature the same expansion port as seen on Series X, a very important feature for the digital console with very limited SSD size.

Xbox Series X is our fastest, most powerful gaming console ever and will set a new bar for performance, speed, and compatibility. Powered by our next generation, a custom-designed processor including an 8 core Zen 2 CPU, delivering more than 4x the processing power of an Xbox One, it packs an unprecedented 12teraflops of GPU performance and enables a new level of visual fidelity and immersion with native 4K gaming and up to 8K capability. Pair that with the highest bandwidth GDDR6 memory of any next-generation console, Xbox Series X provides developers the power to push their creative visions to the limit. Xbox Series X will be available at select retailers worldwide beginning November 10, 2020, for $499 USD.

Xbox Series S is powered by our next generation, custom-designed processor, including an 8 core Zen 2 CPU, Xbox SeriesS offers next-generation speed and performance in our smallest Xbox ever at an accessible price point. Xbox Series S delivers approximately 3xthe GPU performance of Xbox One and was designed to play games at 1440P at 60 frames per second, with support for upscaled 4K at up to 120 FPS.
