When I look back to the 6th generation of consoles, I deeply believe that it should be named as The Golden Age of gaming industry. Just look at the games that we’ve played in that era with those beloved platforms, don’t you think you’ve missed some of your sweetest memories of those days? Absolutely yes. But the only way to revive our memories is to open up some old boxes, take the console out, sweep its dust, plug it in and finally start our travel in time to the past. However, some developers have another idea with delivering the same experience in modern age platforms by remastering or surprisingly remaking popular titles.
Shadow of the Colossus, Resident Evil 2 and Halo Master Chief Collection were some of the most exciting travelers that made their way through current-gen platforms but the list is going to be updated by the announcement of XIII for breathing platforms of 8th generation. The game was originally released for PS2, Xbox and Gamecube back in 2006 by Ubisoft, but the developer is now collaborating with a new publisher to bring its first person shooter experience to the current-gen.
XIII follows the story of a soldier who has been trapped in a conspiracy, accusing him for the terror of US President, while a mysterious tattoo on his back is the only legacy that our protagonist has saved from his past.
PlayMagic, the studio behind the game, has released a short teaser on Twitter, announcing the game will launch on November 13th for PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC. Further information will surely be coming in road to the release.
