Back in 2003 Ubisoft developed and published a story-driven first-person shooter game with comic-style graphics for PlayStation 2 and PC. Now, XIII is under-development again to be launched with more enhanced visuals as a remake of the original title. While it was set to be released in November this year, recently PlayMagic, the new developer behind the game, confirmed that it’s been delayed to next year.
XIII follows a conspiracy-based where you’ve been stabbed in the back by some accurate plans, but heroes never die, so you start with nothing once again to take revenge. When the game launched in 2003, it was a success for the developers in case of reception and reviews. I’m just hoping to see the same thing happening with the launch of remake version. Here is the reason behind the delay:
This additional development time is needed to reach the level of polish we’re aiming for. The announcement was greeted by an overwhelming response from the community and we’ll make sure to deliver the best possible game to our fans.
The team behind XIII remake didn’t reveal an exact window for the game’s launch in 2020, but it couldn’t be faraway, regarding its initial release date. XIII Remake will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC. Microids revealed the development of a remake for XIII back in April 2019.
