Yakuza Like a Dragon Will Run at 900P on Xbox Series S

According to a statement of a SEGA developer on Twitch, the upcoming Yakuza Like a Dragon could support 60 fps on Xbox Series S but will only do so at a 900p resolution.

“Series S is 900p/60fps or 1440p/30fps,” affirms  at 1:51:49.Xbox Series X,is capable of running the game on 4K resolution by lowering the framerate to 30 FPS. For players who prefers more framerates there is an option to run the game  at 1440p resolution at 60 FPS.

The new Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be the most RPG title of the whole franchise, previous installements were beat em up action games, the new Yakuza will be turn-based combat where strategy and good decisions will give the players an edge over adversaries. However, the next gen game does seems to be very hardware demanding from what it’s been revealed through trailers.

Certainly, there is a bit of concern, about the power differences between Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, Remedy’s Senior Technical Producer, Sasan Sepehr has expressed his worries by stating that as a a consumer he loves Series S, however as a technical producer he sees troubles, before Microsoft’s acquisition of Zenixmax Media, parent company of Bethesda and id Software, developers shared their opinion on the affordable next-gen Xbox

Axel Gneiting and Billy Khan from id Software criticized the Xbox Series S as the system will require heavy optimizations to run Series X games, something that has led the developers to define the Series S as a console “hard to work with”
