Yoshitaka Murayama Announced Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes for PS5, and Xbox Series X

Suikoden’s Producer, Writer, and Director Yoshitaka Murayama have announced a Kickstarter campaign for his new RPG project, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. The game will be launching for PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC in fall 2022.

In the game’s announcement, he pledges the ‘Heroes’ support to make the developers’ vision a reality, the game is planned to have no compromises. ‘No limits’ is the vision for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. For that reason, a Kickstarter campaign seeks $500,000 USD in funding from July 27  to August 28.

It’s a game that the team has put its heart and soul into. Basically, it was a challenge to ourselves – “Can we not make the most interesting game of our lives? No limits. Just following our creative paths as they are” in all my years of development, the number one thing that has made me happy is hearing a fan express enjoyment at playing my games.

So that’s what I’m setting out to do with “Eiyuden Chronicle”—To make as many fans happy as possible. However, we can’t do it alone, in order to succeed we need your strength, support, and hope, right now more than ever, we need heroes to realize this dream.

Rabbit & Bear Studios

, a Tokyo-based studio will be developing the new ambitious Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. The studio is founded by key developers for the Suikoden series. Alongside Yoshitaka Murayama, joins Junko Kawano, Junichi Murakami, and Osamu Komuta. All veterans that worked in Konami for the Suikoden series. As reported by Gematsu, this will be the first time Kawano and Murayama work together in 25 years.

“The first thing we decided when our members came together was, ‘It’s about time we made a really interesting game that we ourselves want to make,’” project lead Murayama said in a press release. “We chose Kickstarter in order to make an interesting game with the players in mind, hold the rights to the planning, world, and story of the game, all while keeping the fun of the project. Please lend us your support in this new challenge of ours! We promise to create something that heeds the call of your voices.”
